Call for Presentations

the call for presentations is now closed.

We invite you to submit a workshop proposal for the 2024 Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) National Conference in Dallas, Texas.

Every year, leaders from Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies, corporations, community organizations, and the field of mentoring and youth development convene to learn, network, and celebrate at the BBBSA National Conference.

Our agencies learn from each other, from Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, and from leaders in the field. They are focused on learning ways to improve their fundraising, marketing, and programs.

Visit the Call for Presentations portal for more information about presenting a workshop at the 2024 National Conference and to submit a proposal.

The deadline to submit a workshop proposal is Friday, January 19th, 2024.

Yes. During the workshop application, you will be given the option to select if you prefer to present in-person, virtually, or both. If you choose to present only virtually, you will deliver your workshop live from your home or office at a scheduled time during the National Conference. If you choose to present both in-person and virtually, you’ll be asked to present your workshop twice; once for the in-person audience onsite in Dallas, and again for the live virtual audience. We will work with these speakers on appropriate scheduling and to ensure they have the proper equipment and space to present virtually from the host hotel in Dallas.

Some attendees will be new to BBBS or new to their role, and some will have extensive experience. In your submission, you should explain if your workshop will be best suited for a specific level of expertise. Please ensure your workshop description clearly outlines the target audience for the session.

Roughly 50% of agency attendees are from agencies with less than $700,000 in annual revenue, 30% of agency attendees are from agencies with $700,000-$1,499,000 in annual revenue, and 20% are from agencies with annual revenue over $1,500,000. Agencies fall under one of four size categories: Small Agency (SAA), Small-Mid Agency (SMAA), Mid-Large Agency (MLAA), and Large Agency (LAA). In your submission, you should explain if your workshop will be best suited for a specific agency size. Please ensure your workshop description clearly outlines the target audience for the session.

We cannot accept more than 4 presenters on a panel (1 moderator and 3 panelists). The panelists should be thought leaders and should each represent a different organization. You must add all panelists to your workshop at the time of submission; we are unable to add panelists after a workshop has been approved. The primary presenter will receive $150 off the regular conference registration rate. This discount does not apply to panelists.
